The business end of the kit that processes the information from the load cells and provides visual and printed readouts - 28 May 2004.

Richard from Weighwell setting up the weighing kit. Halfway along each side piece of the structure that is against the web of the rail is a load cell. This load cell lifts the wheel flange off the rail by about 1mm as the wheel is run onto it and can detect the load on it. Both wheels of the same axle are weighed together - 28 May 2004.

Having tripped over from the shed, 9466 is stabled in the P Way sidings next to an old Jubilee Line car and is ready to return to Quainton - 23 May 2004.

The new brick arch. We still use individual bricks to the traditional GW patterns and sizes. The bricks all interlock and an application of fire cement along the middle holds it all in place, hence the wooden supports needed until the cement has dried - 16 May 2004.

Fantastic. The freshly hand painted numbers on the front buffer beam - 16 May 2004.

Back outside the south end of the steam shed after a successful day's running in - 10 May 2004.

At the north end of the steam shed. The difference between the new and the 10 year old green is remarkable - 10 May 2004.

The first proper run in the depot. Having moved forward from the shed we are now waiting for the road to be set to take us down to the North Dock and then back onto 60 road for a few hours of running in - 10 May 2004.
