(Photo copyright R Brittle) The diary of railways visited by 9466 in 2000 and the specific dates run are listed below. 24 - 26 March 2000. 9466 made a guest appearance at the West Somerset Railway Spring Gala again this year. The loco operated only on this weekend before returning to the Bucks Railway Centre. 2 April, 9 April, 16 April, 23 April 2000. 9466 operated the passenger service at the Bucks Railway Centre. 18 - 21 May, 27 - 29 May 2000. 9466 once again took part in the Steam on the Met event operating services on the northern section of the Metropolitan line. This included stock movements and private LUL charter trains. 30 May - 4 June 2000. 9466 raced straight from Steam on the Met to the Great Western Society at Didcot to take part in their Millenium 2000 loco celebrations The loco travelled by rail in light steam towed by a class 47 (diesel not GWR 2-8-0 47XX!!) during the night of 29/30 May and was in steam for the Pannier Day on 30 May and also on 2 and 3 June. June 10 to July 16 2000. 9466 again visited the Cholsey and Wallingford Railway. She operated on 10 June, 11 June, 24 June, 25 June, 2 July, 15 July and 16 July. Mid July - beginning October 2000. 9466 visited her friends at the Battlefield Line. Operating dates were 22/23 July, 29/30 July, 12/13 August, 26/27/28 August, 2/3 September, 24 September, 30/Sept and 1 Oct. 5/6 August 2000. 9466 left Shackerstone briefly to attend the Old Oak Common open day before returing to the Battlefield Line. The loco returned to Quainton and worked the Up Yard passenger shuttles on 8 October. The operating season for the locomotive finished after this weekend and a start made on the winter maintenance programme.
